On Friday 1st of April, the popular Johnny Oosten show will broadcast live from the village of Mayo Abbey from 10am to 1pm. It promises to be an entertaining (and possibly chaotic!) two hours with a myriad of local organisations and individuals taking part. The programme will feature local music and chat from the vibrant Mayo Abbey community.
The Bishop O'Healy Centre is hosting the event and has invited representatives of the National School, the Mayo Gaels GAA Club, the Mayo Abbey Organic Centre, Abbeytots Creche and many others to join in for the occasion. Listeners can tune in locally on 102.9FM or live across the world on www.CRCfm.ie where the programme will also be available to 'listen back' afterwards. This is the first of a series of outside broadcasts with local communities in and around Castlebar. They will take place on four Fridays during April.
Series producer Paschal Doherty said: "We are looking forward to a lively series of entertaining and informative programmes."
