FIREWORKS
They rise like sudden fiery flowers
That burst upon the night,
Then fall to earth in burning showers
of crimson, blue and white.
Like buds too wonderful to name
Each miracle unfolds,
and Catherine-wheels begin to flame
Like whirling marigolds
Rockets and Roman candles make
an orchard of the sky,
Whence magic trees their petals shake
Upon each gazing eye.

MERRY CHIRSTMAS TO ALL YOU
The chicken club
We are members in good standing
of the chicken club and yes,
we confess we all are chicken,
Though you probably could guess.
We are frightened of our shadows ,
of our own reflections too,
And we shriek and run for cover
When we hear a sudden boo
We are terrified of thunder ,
and we scramble at the sound .
We are scared of tiny creatures
in the air and on the ground .
We are jittery and jumpy ,
So afraid of many things ,
that we've even started clucking ,
and were sprouting chicken wings .

MISS EMILY BERRY
Miss Emily berry was terribly strong. muscular, covered in gingery hair. And Emily berry could hug like a bear.
Not one of the boys, when it came to a fight, could possibly stand against Emily's might. 'OH, stop!' each would plead as he struggled for breath, with Emily squeezing him almost to death.
The fat ones, the skinny ones, tall ones or short, young Emily walloped whomever she fought. Till one of them sneaked on Miss Berry at length and told the Headmaster of Emily's strength.
'A girl in my school!' cried the head. 'And she beats the pants off each one of the boys that she meet? I'll teach here lesson, just wait and you'll see. Send Emily Berry to come and see me.'
