Gretings Butch,that pub was owned by the King family.It was a very busy place on the fair days, as cattle used to be "rested" on the opposite side of the street, in by Fitzgerald's archway to the back of what was then Kellys pub (the yank?, prior to being brought to the Fairgreen for sale.
Paddy King was the man in charge in Kelly's,I think. His son Dick King worked in the p7t for many years and retired some time ago. Seeing as you are going to grace us with your presence, how about a trip down memory lanewith some of the NB contributors?
