Folks, this is an amazing coincidence. I came down to my computer to go on-line to the Castlebar Nostalgia Board to pose the question of what is the actual colour of our Irish flag. The reason I ask is that when I was in Florida for the winter this year some of my American neighbours were flying the flag on St.Patrick's day. I got into a debate with many of them as to what they thought was the colour of the flag was and 100% of them said that it was green, white and orange. I immediately put them straight and said no, it is green, white and gold. In my years of growing up in Castlebar, having attended the national school and St.Gerald's College we were always told that our flag was indeed Green White and Gold.

Now, I am confused so I pose the question to all my fellow Irishmen and women, What is the colour of our Irish flag? Let's get this cleared up once and for all.
