'A Girl is a Half Formed Thing' by Castlebar author Eimear Mc Bride
This debut novel by Castlebar woman, Eimear McBride, tells the story of a young woman's relationship with her brother after a tumour leaves him severely brain damaged. It is difficult to describe this book, it is truly unique. It is written as a 'stream of consciousness' and when one reads this book, one delves inside the narrator's head, experiencing its world, rather than having the story being told by a narrator.

It has received fantastic reviews in The Irish Times and Independent , and we at www.mayobooks.ie are delighted to launch this book in our shop, The Castle Bookshop, Castle Street, Castlebar, Co. Mayo on July 11th at 6.30pm.

The book is also available at www.mayobooks.ie

Contact 094 9024422 or e mail castlebooks@eircom.net for further details.

All are welcome.
