Christmas Tree of Remembrance in aid of local Charities. Next weekend Saturday 20 (11-5pm) and Sunday 21 (12-5pm) December 2008 on Market Square Castlebar.

Members of the public will be invited to write the name of a loved one who has departed on a ribbon which will then be attached to a garland which will adorn the tree.

It is a lovely and poignant way to remember those we have lost at Christmas time.

The names will be blessed on the Sunday evening by Fr Pat Farragher and Rev Gary at 5pm when all the names are on the tree and will remain on the tree as a reminder of those who have died.

Those taking part will be asked to make a donation towards local Charities.
