Presentation of Cheques to Charities by Castlebar Community Festival last Tuesday night saw the presentation of cheques to three charities in the Welcome Inn Hotel Castlebar, as a result of Castlebar's first Community Festival which took place on The Mall, Castlebar, last summer. A total of €3900 was raised and was then divided between three deserving causes: Rock Rose House Castlebar, the Mayo Rape Crisis Centre and Self Help Africa, with each charity receiving €1300 each. The Committee would like to thank Mayo Co Council for their support as well as the local sponsors and all the volunteers and participants who made it possible to host the event.
