Full marks to the Transition Year students at Davitt College, on a hugely successful fashion show recently at the Breaffy House Hotel and Resort. The students with some help from staff showcased a wonderful array of the most fashionable of this seasons clothing, all provided by local retailers.
The students are especially grateful to Name It, New Look, Elvery's, Annette Gerald's, Beverly Hills, Wear It Out and Sanzio for their generous support for the project.
One of organisation committee commented that "the quality of the merchandise on display was sensational and the atmosphere on the night was electric, as the additional dancing, music and entertainment provided by the students were brilliant". All involved were particularly pleased with the performance of the youngest models who were all sons and daughters of Davitt College staff. The Transition Year students, management and staff in Davitt College would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped to make the night a success, the suppliers, the sponsors, parents and all who purchased tickets.
A generous contribution will be made to the Children's Ward in Mayo General Hospital from the proceeds of the show.
