The event was most enjoyable and it was a great success. The Mayo Cancer Support Association would like to extend our most sincere thanks to the people of Clare Island who provided such support on the day and for the lovely and most welcome food.
We would sincerely like to thank O'Malley Ferries for the sponsorship of the return trip by boat, Martin McHale and Eugene Diffley for the sponsorship of the buses from Centra in Castlebar to Roonagh and back. A big thank you to the proprieter of the Restaurant in the Community Centre for the food and hospitality. Thanks also to Padraic O'Malley P.O. for co-ordinating the walk.
We would like to thank all the people who participated in the walk and to those who gave sponsorship. We wish you all a joyful and happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.
