Under 10 & Under 12 Hurling Training
Great crowds of youngsters continue to turn up on Wednesday evenings for a feast of hurling. There will be another opportunity to register this Wednesday for those who haven't yet registered. Well done to all the coaches and helpers for their great work. Training continues this Wednesday from 6 - 7pm. If you are interested in helping out in any capacity with either team please contact any of the managers.

U-14 Versus Aherlow
Over the weekend the U-14s had two good challenges against Aherlow that will have helped to bring them on as a team. Aherlow won both games but the Castlebar lads are quickly finding their feet and they played some nice hurling on both days. Thanks to the Aherlow club for two great games and to Joan Feeney for setting them up. We hope that everybody from Aherlow enjoyed the weekend. The U-14s were due to play Belmullet this Wednesday evening in the championship but Belmullet are unable to field. This game may now be played over the weekend. Daren Greaney, Steve McKeogh, and Daithi Hughes continue to put in a great effort with the lads and they are looking forward to getting started.

U-16 & U-18 Training
U-16/18 Training under the management of Donal Horan has got under way on Monday & Wednesday evenings @ 6pm on the back pitch of McHale Park. New players are welcome to come along.

Genfit Cup Senior Hurling
On Monday last, our senior team lost to Ballyhaunis in the Genfit Cup by 2-17 to 1-9. They were losing 1-10 to 0-1 at half-time and had played very poorly. In the 2nd half however they suddenly clicked into gear and we had a very good half of hurling. Tony Stakelum had a good game in goal, while John Kennedy, Owen Shaughnessy, M. Boland and Sean Granahan were the pick of the outfield players. The final round of the Genfit Cup is due to be played this weekend with Castlebar Mitchels taking on Westport. Panel; T. Stakelum, J.J.
