a cara.....we the kids from mchale road ....and some of our rural lads were particularly beaten savavely.....mchale road as i stated earlier was wrongly stigmatized....a stigma that i resent even to this day....i walked this road with pride.....now back to school days.....i remember when we were being "prepared "for confirmation......how we were lined up against the wall and made go over his knee ....and be flogged with a leg of a chair....this same brother a.....confiscated a rubber hose from jimmy sweemey then he flailed us with that.....i remember a fr. mcennis coming into class and examining us on our cathechism.....whem tom dempsey failed to answer a question he smashed him in the face and then exclaimed....i'll knock out your other eye....tom lost one eye to a bow and arrow accident with his brother lar....of course lads from chapel street ....kevin oconnelll...etc were exempted from any brutal beatings.....i remember the whippings we got when we missed a choir practice....how well i rember the savage beating i received from bro. cashin in the school yard .....flailed on both hands ....across the legs.....across the face....beaten up the stairs.....kicked and punched....for shooting a pea and hitting a big shots son who cried to him.....i hope i meet cashin when i arrive in hell....i will heat up his fire a little more.....i remember been flogged by bro{fax}....cyril.....my infraction he saw me queeing up the night before to see paul goldin .....he mmet me as i entered st. geralds the next morning.....marched me into his office and then thrashed me savagely....i also hope to meet him.....
all punishment is mischief....all punishment in itself is evil.....neither shame nor physical pain have any other effect than a hardening one....
im all for bringing back the birch......aha...but only for consenting adults
that as just an account of the physical savagery.....i have other experiences more brutal burned into my psyche
i look forward to meeting my toturers ...in hell....
