a cara..........thank you....kit for your kind remarks....and sentiments.....re the cod liver oil.....well if you grew up in my generation.....cod liver oil was a twice daily ritual....along with malt extract....and scotts emulsion.....these fine products were dispensed at the dispensary in the old county home.....pierce carney was the dispensor of these "medicines"....each day the big spoon came out .....open your mouth and swallow......way back then for us this was sheer torture.....but i know it did stand us good.....other tortures of the day were the castor oil bottle on the range.....liquid parrafin....and cullens headache powders.....syrup of figs.....
human memory is a marvellous ...but....fallacious instrument....the memories which lie within us.....are not carved in stone.....not only do they tend to become erased as time go by......but often they change .....or even increase by incorporating extraneous features.......
i hope you join me on my tales of our oasis by the track......saleen lake......join me and the boys.....and girls..... no fancy swim suits......in our summers of fun and adventure....church lake was not at that time for us of the road.....it was too posh.....
...it seems like only yesterday.....
....slan.....
....tog go bog e ........
