Fai Kickstart 1 Soccer Coach Education Course


The Football Association of Ireland are holding a Kick Start 1 Coach Education Course in Milebush Park, Castlebar on Saturday 19th October from 9am to 5.30pm

Participants must attend all modules of the course in order to qualify for certification. This course is designed to, assist beginner coaches, parents, teachers introduce young children (6-9) to fundamental warm up activities, basic activities and fun games in a safe, structured and stimulating environment. Course fee is €45. This course is limited to 24 participants so book early to avoid disappointment.

Kick Start 1 coaches will receive an FAI Kick Start 1 certificate of attendance as part of the National Coaching Development Programme.

FAI KICKSTART 2 SOCCER COACH EDUCATION COURSE
The Football Association of Ireland are holding a Kick Start 2 Coach Education Course in Kiltimagh/Knock FC, Knock on Saturday and Sunday November 16th, 17th

The course shall run from from 9.00am to 6pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Participants must attend all modules of the course in order to qualify for certification. Course descriptor is attached. Course fee is €75. This course is limited to 24 participants so book early to avoid disappointment.

FAI 4 V 4 GAMES WORKSHOP (formerly known as Small Sided Games Workshop)

A 4 v 4 games workshop will be held in Milebush Park, Castlebar on Saturday 30th November from 9.30am to 12.30am. for bookings or more information please contact Paul Byrne on 0868579678

AIM:
The workshop is designed to give coaches working with young players (aged between 6 and 9 years of age) the knowledge and confidence to incorporate meaningful small-sided games into their training sessions.
OBJECTIVES:
The coach will be able to:
• Promote the use of small-sided games (SSG) practices earlier in their training sessions.
• Understand the importance of development of children between the age of 6-9, rather than winning at all cost.
• Improve their knowledge of coaching styles for working with 6-9 year old age group.
• Appreciate a better understanding of the characteristics of the 6-9 year old football player.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Attendees of this workshop should be in possession of the Kick Start 1 certificate.
DURATION/FORMAT: 3 hours.
ASSESSMENT: Attendance Certificate.
COURSE FEE: €25.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Note: Those that have previously attended the Small Sided Games
Workshop need not re-attend.

FAI 7 V 7 GAMES WORKSHOP

A 7 v 7 games workshop will be held in Milebush Park, Castlebar on Saturday 30th November from 1.30pm to 4.30pm For bookings or more information please contact Paul Byrne on 0868579678

AIM:
The workshop is designed to give coaches working with young players (aged between 9 and 12 years of age) the knowledge and confidence to incorporate meaningful small-sided games into their training sessions.
OBJECTIVES:
The coach will be able to:
• Recognise the 7 v 7 game format as the next step from the 4 v 4 game.
• Help the young players extend their learning to have a greater understanding of the game.
• Make the progression from the 4 v 4 game as seamless as possible for the young player, whilst making this experience fun and appropriate to the children's age and stage development.
• Understand the importance of development of children between the age of 9-12, rather than winning at all cost.
• Improve their knowledge of coaching styles for working with 9-12 year old age group.
• Appreciate a better understanding of the characteristics of the 9-12 year old football player.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Attendees of this workshop should be in possession of the Kick Start 1 certificate.
DURATION/FORMAT: 3 hours.
ASSESSMENT: Attendance Certificate.
COURSE FEE: €25.
