Mayo players on the mark for Connaught

A connaught FA selection defeated Ballinasloe Town 4-2 in Lecarrow on wed night in a freindly match, in preparation for the upcoming inter provincial tournament which takes place in Tullamore from 30th of Sept to 2nd october next.
Incredibly all of Connaught's goals were scored by Mayo players, Brian McHale of Bangor Hibs scored the first while Castlebar Celtic due Stephen Ryan and Ronan O Boyle got goals two and three while the win was rounded off by Claremorris FC's Derek Glynn who beat two defenders before finishing smartly to the Ballinasloe net.

Gerard O Boyle and Ioseph O Reilly also played in the match while Westport duo of Joe Lawless and Danny Schaill were also called into the squad but were unavailable for last Wednesday night's match.

As the tournament is being played on the same weekend as the Connacht Gold Cup final, Ballina Town or Iorras Aonthaithe's players were not considered on this occasion.

Tickets are now available for collection, as soon as possible, as any uncollected tickets must be returned to the FAI 5 days before the game for the Republic of Ireland V Armenia game in the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday 11th October. Patrons should be advised that the game kicks off at 6:45 pm.
