Ferrycarrig Park in Wexford hosted an astonishing 2-2 draw between Wexford Women's Youths and Castlebar Celtic. The highly rated Emma Mullin continued her incredible scoring record in Irish women's football by bagging two goals in the 18th and 59th minute. Wexford had to come from behind twice through Bennett in the 45th minute as Rianna Jarrett ensured a share of the spoils with her equaliser in the 74th minute.

Peamount United brought their impressive Champions League form into the opening round of fixtures of the Bus Éireann National Women's league as they inflicted an astonishing 6-1 defeat on Cork at the Cork Institute of Technology today (Sunday). Meanwhile Raheny United also started the season in devastating fashion putting Shamrock Rovers to the sword with a 5-0 win at Tallaght Stadium while Wexford Youths came from behind to draw 2-2 with Castlebar Celtic at Ferrycarrig Park.

Dublin's Peamount United proved to be too much for the Cork Women's League with Irish international striker Stephanie Roche bagging a hat-trick inside the opening half-hour while there were further goals from O'Gorman, Quinn and Kinsella to seal the points. Irish U17 international striker, Claire Shine got one back for Cork in the closing stages but it was too little too late as the game ended 6-1.

The highly anticipated Dublin derby between Shamrock Rovers and Raheny United was a story dominated by Irish international starlets as all five goals were scored by Ireland's underage heroines. Ciara Grant opened the scoring in the 45th minute before her U19 international team mate, Siobhán Killeen doubled their advantage in the 69th minute. Senior international, Rebecca Creagh got on the score sheet in the 76th minute in-between a brace by U17 midfielder, Katie McCabe in the 74th and 88th minute.

Bus Éireann Women's National League Results:

  • Wexford Women's Youths 2-2 Castlebar Celtic
  • Shamrock Rovers 0-5 Raheny United
  • Cork Women's FC 1-6 Peamount United
