Robin and The Sherwood Hoodies!
SEE YOUR CHILD PERFORM A BRAND NEW MUSICAL COMEDY IN JUST FIVE DAYS!

20th to 24th July, 10am to 3pm,
Sacred Heart School, Westport
A tale of tights, fights and footlights...

A fun filled week guaranteed for children and teenagers aged 6 to 16 who get the chance to put on a full 45 minute musical in just five days!

Children and teenagers are split into age related groups and work towards a performance for family and friends on the final day of the course. Students are taught singing, acting and dancing by our friendly, professional and garda vetted teachers.

Journey into the depths of Sherwood Forest and discover the hilarious truth behind the legend of Robin Hood in this brand new musical comedy!

When the evil Sheriff of Nottingham and his gormless guards threaten the villagers of Sherwood, feisty Maid Marion hires a band of freedom fighters for protection. But whenRobin and his Merry Men arrive, she soon discovers they are not exactly what they had ordered! With no time to lose, she persuades these hapless heroes to take centre stage for the performance of their lives - if only they could stick to the script!

Follow the most outrageous outlaws in history on their side-splitting, action-packed adventure to defeat the dastardly Sheriff, storm Nottingham Castle, rescue Maid Marion and overthrow King John - all without laddering their tights!

This hysterical show is a riotous romp through the medieval mayhem of Merry England, splattered with shocks and surprises, crazy characters and comic capers. With a score full of catchy, show-stopping songs and a wonderfully witty script as sharp as an arrow, this musical comedy is on target to send you all a-quiver!

This summer camp is high energy and fun. Whether you are looking to learn new skills, make friends or build confidence, Stagecoach Mayo has something to offer your child.

QUALITY TRAINING
ESTABLISHED 1988
700 SCHOOLS WORLDWIDE

Welcome...
Welcome to Stagecoach, where we offer high quality performing arts training to young people aged four to eighteen years.
We strive to realise the potential of every child, stretching their imagination and fuelling their creativity through drama, singing and dance classes.
During their time at Stagecoach, students grow in confidence and self-esteem. They develop lifelong skills, helping them to flourish at school, home and in social situations.
Our Principals and teachers are friendly, experienced and of course, security checked. Lessons are structured and educational, yet dynamic and fun, and delivered in a safe, secure environment.
With hundreds of successful Stagecoach schools around the world, you can rest assured that your child is in good hands.

A Trusted Brand
We believe that the experience of performing gives children a sense of belonging, wellbeing and confidence.
Our students can relax and be themselves in an environment that is supportive and nurturing. They build strong bonds with friends who are there to support them through life's transitions.
Many of the skills we teach at Stagecoach are transferable. Singing and dance classes improve children's numeracy skills through visualising rhythm and number patterns. In drama classes, students develop leadership and communication skills through learning as part of a team. Our dance classes also make movement fun! Children become stronger and fitter and develop a positive attitude to exercise. We encourage creativity and our students love bouncing ideas off one another and finding imaginative answers.
So, as you can see, there's so much more to Stagecoach than singing, dancing and acting! We believe in the power of imagination & creativity.

Ages 4-6
Young children love to learn new skills through play, so we've come up with a fabulous Stagecoach experience especially for four to six year olds.
Our Early Stages classes help younger children make friends, have fun and learn the key performance skills required for singing, dancing and acting.
No two classes are the same, so one week your child might learn new dance steps and gain an understanding of role play; while the next, they could explore the world of improvisation, rhythm and timing.
Our ninety-minute classes are held over three thirty-minute sessions each week during term time, in safe and secure locations across Ireland and the UK. All our teachers are experienced in working with young children and undergo Garda Vetting.
Our small class sizes ensure each and every child receives the attention they deserve.

Ages 6-18
We delight in seeing our Main Stages students develop their social skills and grow in self-esteem and creative thinking. This gives them a great head start in life!
As with our younger children, Main Stages students reap the benefits of being divided by age into small groups.
Split into three terms, Stagecoach runs concurrently with the regular school year but with classes taking place outside school hours.
For three hours each week, our students experience a wide variety of performance skills and styles. Lessons are structured so that one term focuses on the skills of singing, dancing and acting; the second term allows students to practise and hone these skills; and the third term sees students gaining performance practice in front of friends and family.
It's testament to our inspirational teachers and school Principals that many students remain at Stagecoach for the full fourteen years.

What to expect
Your child doesn't need to be a budding star to join Stagecoach. A keen interest in singing, dancing or acting means they will love our classes and experience exciting dance choreography, creative drama and voice training in a variety of singing styles.
Students are expected to attend regularly and may be given occasional 'homework', such as learning the words to a song or a piece of drama.
Main Stages students will receive a free subscription to 'Young Performer' magazine and have the chance to take part in events, enter competitions and occasionally perform with the stars.
As a parent, you will be kept up to date with your child's progress. This includes an in-depth report available to you on your very own online Stagecoach account.
Our Principals and teachers are always available should you have any matters you wish to discuss, and you'll be invited to attend your child's performances to see how they are getting on.

Summer Camps
Theatre Arts Camps take place at many Stagecoach schools during the school holidays. Students build confidence and improve their stage skills while rehearsing for a live performance for family and friends at the end of the week. These camps are open to all children, whether or not they attend Stagecoach classes.
Standards & Safety
Every school is led by its Principal who is responsible for the standard of education, discipline, care and control of the students.
Our Principals monitor all aspects of the school, much like a Head Teacher. Classes are delivered by experienced teachers who are professionals in their own field. All Principals and teachers undergo Garda Vetting.
An independent inspection agency assesses each Stagecoach school annually, focusing on health and safety, quality assurance and teaching standards.

Events
Over the years, Stagecoach has given tens of thousands of students the opportunity to perform on a grand scale. Several times a year, Stagecoach hosts a special evening at Her Majesty's Theatre in London, where students have the chance to shine on a prestigious West End stage. Additionally, Stagecoach schools perform regionally at some of the top theatres across the country.
Stagecoach also partners with leading producers to deliver a current and exciting programme of events and content within the school environment.
Stagecoach students have appeared at many high profile venues and events including:
• Bord Gais Energy Theatre
• The National Concert Hall
• The Helix
• The Gaiety Theatre
• The Tivoli Theatre

Parties
Our Stagecoach Parties are carefully tailored to suit different age groups, so they are great fun for young children and teenagers alike.
From the very start we will work with you to deliver the perfect party for your child. Young children aged four to ten love themed parties, so we dress up as fairies, princesses, pirates and detectives, before taking them on a magical journey and landing them safely back home with lots of amazing memories.
Older children aged eleven to sixteen prefer the sophistication of our Murder Mystery parties.
We can take care of everything from the party invitations to the party bags, so you only need to think about food. Then sit back and relax while we do all the work!
Our Party Hosts all undergo Garda Vetting and have bundles of energy and a huge repertoire of fun party games, songs and dances.

Stagecoach Agency
Our students are a talented bunch, so we set up the Stagecoach Children's and Young Performers' Agency to help them gain experience within the performing arts industry.
Today we are proud to say that we have one of Europe's largest talent agencies, representing young people aged four to eighteen years who attend our Stagecoach Theatre Arts schools across the Ireland and UK.
We work hard to find fun and worthwhile opportunities across all entertainment platforms for Stagecoach students who choose to become members of our agency.
No responsible agency can ever guarantee to find work for any actor, adult or child, however, we do enjoy a high degree of success.
Stagecoach student achievements have included roles (both major and supporting) in Hollywood films, West End shows, film and television productions, radio, commercials, voiceovers and photographic assignments.
