Sarah’s start up, TruckScience, is a cloud-based software solution, usable by non-engineers. It identifies the correct configuration of truck for their customer, vis à vis axle weight distribution, fuel consumption and costing. New Frontiers is funded by Enterprise Ireland. GMIT was one of the first Institutes of Technology approved to run the programme in 2013, which aims to create more new high potential start-ups businesses in the west. To date, outputs include 12 new businesses created since early 2012, 38 jobs, nine new products on the market, eight have revenue from.sales with great sales pipelines, seven have revenue from export sales,.six have won prestigious company awards and two have already attracted.equity investment.
