The National Museum of Ireland, Age & Opportunity, Poetry Ireland, Mayo County Council Arts Office and the Mayo participants of Samhain 2014 would like to invite you to a performance of their work in the National Museum of Ireland - Country Life, Turlough Park, Castlebar on Saturday, 1st November at 2pm.

This event is showcase of creative writings developed at workshops led by Terry McDonagh and the museum staff. Through the artefacts, customs and folklore of the Folklife collection, participants explored the festival of Samhain and burial traditions. These creative responses reflect the enduring but challenging themes of aging, dying, and loss.
