Sean Nós Dancing

Sean-Nós Dancing Workshops
Classes from second to sixth enjoyed sean-nós dancing workshops with champion dancer, Connemara's Irene Cunningham. Irene's workshops have allowed the girls in these classes to develop their sean-nós dancing skills. Some girls have already demonstrated these skills in the recent 'Seisiún na n-Óg' school concert in the Linenhall.
We held a sean-nós dancing competition during Seachtain na Gaeilge. This was an exciting opportunity and a fun idea to allow all girls a stage to show off their newly acquired skills and talent.
Sean-nós dancing allows the girls to their own creativity and imagination while learning about our Irish heritage and customs. They have really enjoyed this. Bhain siad an-taitneamh, tairbhe agus sult as! Photos of the competition below!
