Belderg,

Geological features.

The pictures show the landscape at Belderg harbour, a few mile west of the Ceide Fields, contorted by volcanic action millions of years old. Also shown are two cones of basaltic magma protruding from the rock surface. The headland has many other features of interest to the geologist, including blowholes and a sea-arch.

Contorted landscape.
