My late mother was a close friend of Frances (I think it was Frances, forgive me if I am wrong) Mellor. She lived on Rock Square in Castlebar, always dressed well, a handsome, good looking woman, very refined. I think she worked in Langans drapery on Ellison Street, Castlebar. Many older Castlebar folk will have happy memories of Frances, a genuinely nice person, God be good to her.
