This Thursday evening, 24th May, sees the finals of the Club Competition for Photographer of the Year. Members are requested to bring in their results from their disposable camera shoot for judging. When this is completed the tallymen will get busy and sort out the final scores for all the competition rounds and the winners will be announced and prizes awarded and presented. It promises to be an evening of high drama, good photography and fun and takes place in room SR14, GMIT, Castlebar at 8.00pm sharp. Do not miss it.
Outings for the Summer months will be finalised and destinations already known include Cong for a Sunday morning outing in June and a full day trip also in June taking in Pontoon, Belleek woods, Rosserk & Moyne Friaries, killala, Kilcummin, Lacken and Ballycastle. This trip will have a wonderful variety of locations and subject matter and any member anxious for more after all that is a hardy photographer indeed. Other short, usually half day outings will be held during the Summer and another long day in late August or early September.
