This Thursday evening, 1st of February, at 8.00pm sharp in room SR14, GMIT, Castlebar members will led through the "how to" details of Macro and close up photography by member Kevin Murphy, AIPF. Kevin specialises in this interesting and exciting field of photography and requests that members bring their cameras, flash guns, tripods and some minature items for use in practical close up and macro setups.
Last Thursday evening saw members putting their heads to gether over the Clubs panels of prints for The Irish Photographic Federations National League finals later in the season. A certain amount of work was also done on the members individual entries for The IPF National Print and Projected Images competition. This event will be held in Portlaoise on February 11th but the closing date for entries will be February 1st next so good luck to all our entrants.
We are aware that cameras were popular gifts this Christmas and no doubt some of the results are not what you expected. If this has happened to you get in touch with the Club any Thursday evening or on 087-6360212 and we will be delighted to put an improvers course together for you all if the demand is there.
