Spring is here and with it the new tax year. Our guest speaker this month is George Bell - Accountant, who will explain the implications of a nine-month tax year on your business and the new Tax Credit System. The Western Roads Actions Committee has re-scheduled their public meeting for Thursday 19th April in the Traveller's Friend Hotel at 8:30pm Office Space to Let. The top floor of the Chamber building is now vacant. If you are looking for new office space or know another business that is, please let us know. The Euro and your Business. Our first Euro event will be held on Monday night 30th April in Breaffy House Hotel when we will look at the main issues involved for businesses. This event will be held with the assistance of the Euro Changeover Board. Further notices will be sent out at a later date with details of speakers and times. |
Remember now is the time to join our VHI group scheme. Renewal date is the end of the month. In an effort to set up trade links with Hockstadt a series of meetings will be arranged for the first week in May. Are you interested in sourcing a partner or raw materials in Germany? If so contact the office to arrange a suitable meeting time and introduction Due to the recent foot and mouth situation the CCI Annual Conference has been postponed until next September. The latest CCI affinity deal involves Hewlett Packard and their resellers. However we have decided not to pursue this deal so as not to take custom from businesses in the town. Thank you to everybody that has already returned their membership subscriptions. Those that have not done so already, please forward it as soon as possible. New members are always welcome and we would encourage you to bring in new members. Remember membership is one of the key elements to a vibrant chamber. |
