INTRODUCTION TO OUR SCHOOL - This section will be added to with each edition.

St. Patrick's De La Salle BNS is an all boys school in Castlebar, Co. Mayo. We have a total of 450 boys in our school. There are 28 teachers and 11 ancillary staff.

The school has a strong tradition in all sports especially gaelic football, soccer and cross-country running.There is great interest in tag-rugby at the moment - the only school in the country that has visits from the South Africans, All-Blacks and the Wallabies every day of the week!

We also have a strong tradition in integration of ICT's and seeking resources to assist children with learning difficulties. We currently have two special needs teachers, two resource teachers and two teachers for travellers.

Our school was founded by the De La Salle Brothers and thankfully moves are afoot to honour their contribution to Castlebar. If you would like to know more about the History of the school Click here
