In 2001, the Serpentine Gallery, London commissioned Eighteen Turns as part of its commitment to showcasing contemporary architecture. The Serpentine Gallery Pavilion designed by world renowned architect Daniel Libeskind is generously loaned to Cork 2005 by its owner, cite, and facilitated by John Keogan of Keogan Architects will be located at Fota House, Fota Island Cork from May 6th next until December 31st 2005. This project is supported by the OPW and facilitated by the Fota Trust, through the offices of Professor Tom Raftery.

Daniel Libeskind is a leading international figure in the world of architectural practice and design. He has designed a number of cultural institutions including the Jewish Museum in Berlin and the Imperial War Museum North in Manchester. His award winning designs for Ground Zero, New York are internationally acclaimed. His ideas have influenced a new generation of architects and those interested in the future development of cities and Culture.

Eighteen Turns is a magnificent structure as it twists and weaves; it captures the magic and mystery of architecture. The pavilion embodies both the past and future, something which will be exemplified by its location at Fota House, one of Ireland's Great Houses.

18 Turns at Fota House has a dance floor that Michael Jackson would be proud of.
