Mayo's biggest indoor Christmas market returns to Castlebar this November. The Castlebar Christmas market takes place in Breaffy House Events Arena 10am-5pm 24-25 November.

Artisan food and craft producers from all over Mayo will be under the same roof as the Events Arena in Breaffy House Resort is transformed into a Christmas Wonderland. Tempt the taste-buds with delicious sweet and savoury home-baking, local jams and chutneys, confectionery, local organic cheeses, mince pies, mulled wine and other tasty treats.

Choose wonderful unique Christmas gifts from the huge selection of hand crafted pottery, wood carvings, beautiful art work, hand-painted glassware, elegant jewellery, Christmas floral arrangements, handmade Christmas cards, hand crochet crafts, knitwear, handmade candles, kids games, skincare, vouchers, and other unusual craft gifts. You can also pick up your very own personalised Christmas stockings.

Léon Fox, Event Co-Ordinator said " This event received huge local support last year and it gives an ideal opportunity to buy quality, locally produced original goods, direct from the maker, suiting every taste, age and budget."

A wonderful experience is in store for children and families over the weekend with face painting, a mini cinema, story telling, clay play workshops, balloon modelling, and of course Santa will be making a trip from the North Pole to greet the children in his Grotto from 12-4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Swinford Photography will have a beautiful winter wonderland scene set up to take kids or family portraits, just in time for Christmas cards.

Our Winter Wonderland Competition will be running again this year and we have a fantastic prize of a family pass to The North Pole Experience in Dublin plus accommodation. Draw or paint your Winter Wonderland picture and post it to Castlebar Christmas Market, 36 Quignalecka, Ballina, Co.Mayo along with your name, age and contact number. All pictures will be on display at the Castlebar Christmas Market and the winner will be announced on the final day.

The Castlebar Christmas Market will run from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th November. Come along and enjoy some Christmas shopping, while supporting local crafts!

We would like to welcome choirs, bands, musicians, groups, schools or anyone that likes to sing to joins us for some Carol singing over the weekend. For more details visit our Facebook page, www.CastlebarChristmasMarket.com or contact us on 083 1381331 or CastlebarChristmasMarket@gmail.com.
