Seachtain na Gaeilge (Irish Language Week) 1-17 March 2017 is an international Irish language festival and one of the biggest celebrations of our native language and culture that takes place each year in Ireland and in many other countries.
The festival gives an opportunity to everyone to enjoy Irish, whether you are a fluent speaker, learner or have a cúpla focal, with a calendar of entertaining and fun events for every type of interest and every age group.
Voluntary and community groups, local authorities, schools, libraries, and music, sports, arts and culture organisations organise events for Seachtain na Gaeilge in their local area.
Irish is for everyone, Seachtain na Gaeilge is for everyone - Bain Triail Aisti - Surprise Yourself!
CIORCAL COMHRÁ AT CLOGHER
Many people regret that they never practiced using their Irish. Most persons that have passed through the Irish educational system have at least a basic knowledge of the Irish language.
Perhaps you never had the opportunity to use their Irish language skills. There is however an increasing number of people who wish to use Irish in their daily lives, yet they are afraid to stick their necks out and try it.
Many parents with children attending primary schools wish to be able to help their children with their homework. Others have children attending one of the many Gaelscoils in the local region.
With this in mind Clogher Heritage Centre will host a Ciorcal Comhrá- Conversational Irish Group at 10.30 a.m. on Thursday 2nd, 9th & 16th March 2017.
You do not have to be brilliant to "Bain Triall as." - "Give Irish a go."
Speaking and learning Irish can be fun.
Come along and join us!
Bain Triall As - Give Irish a Go.
Fáilte Roimh Cách. Everybody Welcome.
