On Saturday 14 July the Mayor of Doncaster, Cllr Christine Mills, visited the Mayo Peace Park and Garden of Remembrance and laid a wreath on behalf of the people of Doncaster. She was accompanied by her husband John. Mr John Kennedy CBE DL of Manchester also laid a wreath. The Mayor of Castlebar Cllr Brendan Henaghan represented the people of Castlebar. Present also were Mr Kevin Bourke and members of the Mayo Emigrant Liaison Committee and Officers and members of the Peace Park Committee.
