"Larry" Lawrence Sweeney, formerly of Breaffy and London, passed away on the 11th of November 2008 in hospital after a long illness which was partially spent in a nursing home near the end. His wife Patricia predeceased him earlier this year and he is now going to join her in the hereafter.

He was a very bright intelligent man with a heart of gold and he would help anyone. He worked as a general foreman for years until he retired. He had a fine family of five: Lawrence, Martin, Brendan, Kathleen and Patsy and is also survived by three sisters Kathleen and Bridie in Manchester and Mary in Birmingham. He will be sadly missed by the local community in Brixton Village.

His funeral will take place at Corpus Christi, Brixton Hill at 09:30am on the 21st November 2008, and then onto Lambeth Cremotorium Blackshaw Road, Tooting. I would like to pass on my condolences to his family in their period of grief.
