Castlebar - Everyones Invited, attracting huge internet response

A new and exciting multi media video promotion initiated by Castlebar Chamber of Commerce is set to attract national and international exposure for Castlebar in the weeks and months ahead. The new DVD promotion features the theme Castlebar Everyones Invited and looks on the town as a great place to live, work and visit.

This is a vital promotional tool for the town going forward as millions of people now use multi media devices such as their phones and iPads when looking for holiday destinations and business opportunities. This is a quality production using state-of-the-art technologies and it gives a great overview of what is on offer in Castlebar from a business, tourism, cultural and social aspect, commented Castlebar Chamber President, Oliver Kelleher.

The new DVD promotion is the brainchild of Castlebar Chamber and will be used to promote and drive business and tourism to the county town under the umbrella of www.visitcastlebar.com. From inception to the delivery of the final product, the whole process took little under a month to ensure the DVD would be ready for international distribution this St Patricks Day. The interactive website highlights Castlebar as a great place to live, do business and visit.

The new promotional DVD which was filmed and produced by Irishtv.ie is one of the first in Ireland to be available in a business card format and size using cutting edge technology to promote the town at home and abroad.

This is one of the most engaging and exciting projects we have produced in some time, commented Pierce OReilly from Irishtv.ie

The DVD shines a spotlight on Castlebar highlighting the towns entrepreneurial and business acumen, the quality tourist attractions in and around the town and the warm and welcoming personality of the local people, he added.

The video clip is now on YouTube and has received over 3,000 hits in just three days, an indication of its early popularity and appeal.

Magical nuggets in the DVD include beautiful scenic footage of Lough Lannagh, a special welcome to Castlebar from An Taoiseach Enda Kenny, footage of Castlebars thriving and bustling town centre and some hidden gems like the great food, the colourful towns history and heritage and the lively music sessions that kick off in the many traditional pubs after dark.

Castlebar is a fantastic town to live in, to do business in and to visit and we want to showcase it to the world, commented Mr Kelleher. For more information about Castlebar, and to watch the video, log on to www.visitcastlebar.com
