Liam Gavin's Quad Cycle

Liam Gavin's quad cycle or 'rickshaw' was the subject of queries on the Castlebar Nostalgia Board recently. Jarleth Cunningham restored the cycle - see photo above and it is in perfect running order.

Who remembers Liam Gavin's rickshaw type of transport which his daughters had, up on the Mall a few years ago?

From Johnny Boy:

Remember it well-- I remember one year the Bazaar was held in Castle St. car park and the Gavin girls were doing spins in the rickshaw around the mall for a few pence. It's hard to think that this was about 25 years ago.

From John:

They were the days. Mighty Craic and the sun always seemed to be shining. I remember the girls used to be running arould the mall chasing some of the lads who wouldn't get off the bikes. was so funny. The girls then cycled the bikes back home in the traffic. Would'nt happen nowadays!
