If I were not me

If I were not me, I would like to be the President of Ireland. My name would be President Newcombe and I would live at Áras an Uachtaráin. I would be famous throughout my country for all the good I would do. I would help the sick, the poor and especially the homeless. I would hope to have the honour and privilege of opening many offices, centres and new building. I would visit all the schools around the country and meet all the children of Ireland. I would love to meet all the other Presidents of the world. I would love to meet the American President Bill Clinton to visit the White House in Washington D.C. and go to special conferences

for world peace. I would buy good clothes and always look good. I would love to go to football matches and meet famous players such as Roy Keane and Robbie Keane etc. I would love to present the Sam Maguire to the All Ireland Champions. I would love to have met the late Mother Treasa and Princess Diana. I would travel the world and learn the different languages such as French, German and Chinese, so l could speak to their Presidents.

Alas I am just myself but I can still dream.

MY BOOK REPORT

My name is Keith. I am reading a book called Sabrina the teenage Witch. It’s about a teenage witch thats half mortal, half witch. I’d give it marks 10 out of 10.What I liked about it was that Sabrina came up with idea about a fund raiser to make a haunted house called the Halloween Machine. What did I think about it I thought it was very funny. About the author

John Vornholt has done many things in his life from being a factory worker to being a stuntman but writing has always been his first love. He’s written for magazines, television movies the theater and computer companies and he really enjoys writing books & telling a story one reader at a time. John lives with his wife, two kids, and two dogs in Arizona.

HORSES

I would like to have a pony and I would like it very much. I would call it Lightning and I would bring it out to the stables and feed it oats and barley. Straight after my homework I would go straight to the stable and look for Lightning . I would go for a nice evening stroll along the beach and bring it back to the stable and let it rest and stay with Lightning watching the stars and I would bring it to the vet for a checkup every month and if it was sick I’d take good care of it.

Horses

I would love to have a Connemara pony because they have lots of colours. My favourite colour would be white. I go to horse riding, my horse at horse riding is called Scamp, he is the laziest horse at horse riding. I have to put the saddle on its back and I have to feed it oats and barley my most favourite part is when we gallop outside Turlough. I love the part the horse jumps over the fence. My friend Orla fell off the horse when the horse jumped over the fence and I’ll never fall of the horse, thank God.

The New Millenium

The first of January marked a very historical moment in world history when the three nines were replaced by the three zeros. There were big celebrations worldwide to mark this occasion. Governments built structures such as domes, monuments and bridges.

Science and technology will take massive leaps forward in the next millenium. People will communicate through the internet. People will no longer have to go to the supermarket to do their shopping or they won’t have to go to the bank to do their banking. We are told that all of this will be done on the internet too.

School will change too. Maybe all our books will be on floppy disks and instead of our school bags we will have our laptops. The changes that might come may not all be that good because we might not play with our friends. Maybe all our play will be on computers.

Cars will be replaced by cars that can fly like helicopters. We will travel by automatic compass instead of roads. Grass will not be cut by lawn mowers any more they will be cut by automatic machine that will cut and blow the grass into dust. Carpets will have an automatic cleaning system and will not have to be hovered.

In the new millennium I hope that doctors and scientists will find cures for all diseases. I hope that the poor people in the world especially the poor children will no longer be starving. I also hope that people will take more care of our world and not destroy it with pollution

If I were not me I would like to be

If I were not me I would like to be a soccer star for Manchester United because I would get well paid every week and I would be playing with all the stars like Roy Keane and Ryan Giggs and a lot of other world class players. I would like to play as a skipper but I would not like to take that position from Roy Keane. I would have to send home money every week. I would have a car like the one in the James Bond film ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’. My most favourite game would be against Liverpool in the F.A. cup final. Another game would be against Barcelona in the Champion’s League Final and my last most favourite game would be the Premiership Final against the Gunners

If I were a famous football player I would have to train hard all week and I would probably only get one day off. My house would be so fabulous with a swimming pool and a soccer pitch outside. The best thing about playing for such a class team is that I would be playing for the Republic Of Ireland and that would also make my parents so proud of me

Charlie and the Chocolate factory

Charlie and the chocolate factory was written by Roald Dahl and is about a family that is very poor the reason for this is because only the father worked and his job was putting caps on toothpaste tubes. Today was Charlie’s birthday and every year his family bought him a chocolate bar. At that time however, a competion was going on about a factory, and the proud owner of it, Mr Willy Wonka had placed five golden tickets in his chocolate bars why? Because he was getting too old to run the factory himself, The reason?. He made the factory go up to its ears with money and made amazing candy but other chocolate factories sent in spies to steal the recipes and soon enough his secrets were soon revealed. So he closed the factory but for some reason he managed to stay in business. Charlie opened his bar and no ticket! He opened his second bar and no ticket! So he opened his last bar and he the ticket on his last bar! And when this ticket was the last one. So he went to the factory with his grandpa. When he came out he owned the factory! What I really like about this book is that it is different, because in most books the stars always seem to get what they really need the first time! Time on. But this book it happens three times before Charlie has to wait three times before getting the ticket. The author (Roald Dahl) was in world war two, as a fighter pilot but he died a few years ago.

If I could not be me

If I could not be me,

I would have to think what

I should be?

A dog, a cat, a footballer,

No! A mountain, a house

Or a river ?

No I’d rather not,

What about a marshmallow ?

Ah, I’d prefer to be a Swallow

If I could not be me, I would like to be a Swallow. I would be lovely and handsome. My wings would be deep blue and my chest would be white, I would have to fly over to Africa every year because I do not like the cold weather in Ireland. I would have to eat a worm salad every day.

The reasons I would like to be a Swallow are, for example, I like his colour size and the shape of the Swallow’s tail. I’d like to be a Swallow because if I were a Swallow, I would not have to pay for a holiday. I would just flap my wings and take off in to the sunset. I could travel anywhere, anytime and it would all be free!

Because I am only 19cm long I can hide in small holes when a predator is trying to catch me. But because I’m not me I’m just the way I ought to be.
