An Taoiseach, Mr Enda Kenny, accompanied by the Flag officer Commanding the Naval Service, Commodore Mark Mellett will review a Naval Guard of Honour drawn from the ranks of the Naval Service Reserve at 7.15pm on Saturday the 28th of May 2011.
Naval Guard of Honour drawn from the ranks of the Naval Service Reserve await the arrival of Taoiseach Enda Kenny to the Mayo Associations World Convention 2011 at Hotel Westport, Westport Co Mayo.

The short ceremony is to mark his address to the World Mayo Convention being held in the Hotel Westport from the 27th to the 29th of May with 'Power by Land and Sea - a Future for our People' as its theme. The Guard under the command of Lt (NSR) Conor Smyth, will render honours to An Taoiseach and invite him to inspect the ranks of men and women who have assembled at the request of the Department of the Taoiseach to give a maritime flavour to the occasion as the Convention discusses the potential of renewable energy from the sea.
The Irish Naval Service is the maritime component of the Defence Forces. Based on Haulbowline Island in Cork Harbour, the Naval Service with its fleet of eight ships patrols Ireland's maritime domain of almost 1 million square kilometres.
