Ireland West Airport Knock greatly regrets that tour operator, Great Escapes, has ceased trading as and from, Tuesday, 26th August 2008. The Airport continues to liaise with the Commission for Aviation Regulation (CAR), who has been extremely proactive and helpful since the announcement was made. Ireland West Airport Knock has been advised by the CAR that no Great Escapes’ passengers will be permitted to travel on any of the outbound flights (departing from Ireland West Knock) that were booked with Great Escapes, as these holidays are now invalid. Clients of Ronane Travel Ltd/Great Escapes can claim a refund from the Commission for Aviation Regulation. Applications for refunds should be accompanied by documentary evidence in support of the claim. Applications forms are available to download from the website www.aviationreg.ie Ireland West Airport continues to assist effected passengers as much as possible by providing them with the most up-to-date information which is received from the CAR.

Flight Details
The Commission confirms that the XL Aviation flight Faro To Knock will operate as scheduled Thursday the 28th August departing 12:10 local time. Airport Transfer arrangements also remain in place as originally planned.
The LTE flights from Lanzarote to Knock and from Reus to Knock on Friday 29th August will depart as scheduled. Airport Transfer arrangements also remain in place as originally planned.

Passengers intending to travel outbound from Knock on tickets issued by Great Escapes should download a claim form for our website to claim a refund and if they have paid by credit card, they should contact their Card issuer for a refund directly.
