The Ireland West Airport Galway Bay 2009 Regatta (GB09), takes place as
part of Volvo Ocean Race Galway stopover and runs from 2 June to 7 June next in Galway.

Galway Bay Sailing
Club is 40 years old this year and the club have organised its biggest sailing
event ever, with almost 140 boats from the Western sailing clubs and around the
country competing, to coincide with the Volvo Ocean stopover which is set to
attract between 150,000 and 200,000 visitors to Galway and the West this
summer.

to optimists dinghy to junior sailing events, there’s something for everyone to
enjoy and members of the public and competitors alike are all very welcome to
