Knock Airport Flight Cancellations 5 May 2010

The Irish Aviation Authority have advised us that as a result of denser volcanic ash being dispelled high into the atmosphere Ireland West Airport Knock will be closed from 11:00hrs until at least 24:00hrs today Wednesday 5th May 2010. All flights to/from the airport during these closure periods times have been cancelled. Passengers scheduled to travel to/from the airports during these closures are advised not to go to the airport, but instead change their flight bookings (or request refunds) on line at the respective airlines.

This mornings London Stansted service has arrived on schedule and is scheduled top depart at the published time. The Liverpool service due into Ireland West Airport Knock at 10:05am is on time with Ryanair.

The following flights have been cancelled for today, Wednesday 5th May

* RE220 from Ireland West Airport Knock to Dublin which was due to depart at 07:15am
* FR8142 from London-Luton to Ireland West Airport Knock which was due to arrive at 13:05pm
* FR8143 from Ireland West Airport Knock to London-Luton which was due to depart at 13:30pm
* EI916 from London Gatwick to Ireland West Airport Knock which was due to arrive at 14:30pm
* EI917 from Ireland West Airport Knock to London Gatwick which was due to depart at 15:05pm
* FR8202 from Bristol to Ireland West Airport Knock which was due to arrive at 14:50pm
* FR8203 from Ireland West Airport Knock to Bristol which was due to depart at 15:15pm
* FR1742 from East-Midlands to Ireland West Airport Knock which was due to arrive at 17:35pm
* FR1743 from Ireland West Airport Knock to East-Midlands which was due to depart at 18:00pm
* RE227 from Dublin which to Ireland West Airport Knock which was due to arrive at 19:00pm

A further statement will be issued by 16:00pm hours local by the IAA, following the receipt of updated volcanic ash data.
