Ryanair today (24th May) announced a new route from Ireland West Knock to Bristol International Airport.  The new route will complement Ryanair’s existing network of routes at Ireland West Knock which include daily services to London Luton and London Stansted Airports in addition to the four-times-a-week services to East Midlands which commenced on February 27th last.  It is expected that the expansion of Ryanair at Ireland West Knock will generate an estimated 300,000 passengers at the Airport over the coming year.

Announcing the new route, Ryanair’s Communications Executive, Lorna Farren said: "Ryanair is delighted to announce our fourth route from Ireland West Knock, which will provide a further boost to tourism in the West and North West of Ireland, delivering over 60,000 passengers in its first year of operation.  Ryanair has been in Ireland West Knock since it opened in 1986, and this new route confirms that we are committed to steady growth at the Airport."

Annette Kearney, Marketing and Communications Manager at Ireland West Airport Knock said: "The addition of this direct route to Bristol with Ryanair is another significant step in achieving our Airport’s goal of providing an expanded network of scheduled jet flight services to key UK destinations. We are most mindful that our award-winning Airport continues to provide an ever-widening choice of great value, direct and convenient flights to our customers both in Ireland and in the UK."

FARES FROM JUST €10!

Lorna Farren continued: "A vote for Ryanair is a vote for the lowest fares.  Any passenger who finds a cheaper flight with a competitor will receive double the difference, guaranteed!  Fares for our new route to Bristol start from just &Euro;10, and we advise all passengers to log onto www.ryanair.com immediately, for the lowest fares, guaranteed."

Bristol International Airport is the UK’s fifth largest airport outside of London and it provides convenient access to ten counties across the West of England and South Wales. These counties include Avon, Gloucestershire, South Wales, Somerset and Dorset as well as the famous Devon and Cornwall regions which offer a wealth of scenic and coastal landscapes, and outdoor adventure activities. As European centre of culture and with a reputation as one of Europe’s most powerful economies, Bristol is an inspirational city positioned as the regional capital of England’s south west. Bristol city is a Mecca for shopping enthusiasts and it offers an abundance of museums, nightlife and arts activities.

Annette Kearney noted that:  "Our new route not only provides a great new short haul break for people in the West and North West of Ireland, but it also opens up a marketplace of some seven million people from the UK to the tourism industry here. In addition, it will also provide for increased economic development for our commercial and industry sectors."
