D Day 1945 was  remembered at the Mayo Peace park and Garden of Remembrance on Sunday 6 June 2010. The Mayo Bikers, who were on a tour of the County to raise funds for Enable Ireland, stopped off and laid a wreath. A number of US visitors to Castlebar also laid wreaths.
