TACÚ, Ballinrobe Family Resource Centre - Information
International Day of Person's with a Disability Monday 3rd Dec. LUISNE Art Project invites you to join them on Monday 3rd Dec at 1pm to view their latest creations and to celebrate International Day with them. Refreshments will be served.

Men's Shed - The Community Men's Shed is an updated version of the shed in the backyard. If you looked inside one you could see anything! You might also see both young and older men learning new skills from each other and maybe also learning something about life from the men they are working with. If you are interested in getting involved or would like to hear more please come along to an information session in Tacú Family Resource Centre, Ballinrobe (beside the Credit Union) at 8.30pm on Wed 5th of Dec , further information from Mary 0872859973

Security Guard Training Course:- starting in Tacú early in 2013 there is jobs available for both Male & Female in this area so this is a great course to take numbers limited so please contact us immediately to register your interest on 094 9542908.

Christmas Garland Making- a Christmas Garland Making workshop on Saturday 8th December in Tacú Family Resource Centre Ballinrobe 10.00am - 1.30pm Workshop costs €40 price includes all materials and Soup for lunch.

The International 16 Days Opposing Violence against Women runs from 25th November, (which is UN Day Opposing Violence against Women), to 10th December (which is Human Rights Day). On Monday 10th December To commemorate the women who have lost their lives, women who are missing, women who are subject to rape, sexual assault and sexual abuse, women who are trafficked and forced into prostitution a Lilies Ritual will be held in Ballinrobe at the Bowers in Bridge St. on Monday 10th December at 2.30pm Please join us or ring Mary 087 2859973 For further information.

The "Out & Proud" Roadshow has been organised to raise awareness of the Family Resource Centres' Western Region LGBT Network, which provides local supports to members of our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community. The Out & Proud bus will bring an abundance of information, music and laughter to Ballinrobe on Monday 3rd December at 10am and provide an opportunity for a chat with our friendly driver and one of our well informed volunteers.

25 Card Drive - CHRISTMAS CARD Game will held in Tacú Family Resource Centre Ballinrobe (beside Credit Union) Main St. on the 16th of Dec., Sunday @ 8pm sharp. All proceeds will go towards the Maple Youth Centre, Ballinrobe. Please support and refreshments will be served Prizes worth €400 on the night tickets €7.

Bingo Night @ Tacú- Eyes down for a fantastic bingo night in Tacú Family Resource Centre (beside Credit Union) Main St. Ballinrobe, on Tuesday at 8:30pm sharp. So put the date into your diary you will be guaranteed a relaxed fun eventing with lots of prizes. All proceeds will go towards the Maple Youth Centre Ballinrobe.

Christmas Craft Market - being held the 16th of December. (A few tables left for vendors). There will be lots of exciting activities for children like Bingo with Santa Puppets workshop etc. Please contact Tacú for more info on 094 9542908. Something for everyone admission free to Craft Fair.

Meals on Wheels is in the Ballinrobe area now (this includes Partry, The Neale, Tourmakeady etc), if you or someone you know is in need of this service please contact Mary @ Tacú on 094 9542908.

Monthly Craft Market - 2nd Friday of the Month- 10:30-3:30. Next day is the 14th December at Tacú. Any crafters interested please contact Tacú 094 9542908. This is to be a monthly event.

"Here We Are Again" Consignment Shop- @Tacú -check out our NEW SPACE in Tacú Friday's 11am-2pm- (all kids clothes now in the Youth Centre- on Tuesdays from 10:30am-12:30pm). Also don't forget to recycle your old clothes shoes etc in our recycling bins located in Tesco Car park and Abbey St Car park.

Oil Painting Classes - Every Monday night (intermediate) -@Tacú 8pm-10pm

Bible Study (Non-Denominational) - Wednesday nights- . 8-9pm. Starting with Book of Matthew. All welcome, no charge. Contact 0871664101 for info.

Body Stretch Class- all ages - @ Maple Yth Centre- Pls contact 086 9077581 for more info.

Tacú Walking Club! - Every Thursday -(Rain or Shine), Time: 10:45am. Meet at Tacú (next to Credit Union). If you have any questions please call Tacú @ 094 9542908. All welcome! If it's pouring we won't make you walk... Don't forget bring your water bottle and wear comfortable shoes...

Available @ Tacú, Photocopying (B/W & Colour), Laminating, Typing, CV's -all your office needs.

Computer Classes 1 to 1 - Learn basic computers (internet, word, etc) at Tacú Monday- Thursdays. Please ring to book, 1 hr @ a time for €2. 094 9542908.

Knitting Group: Adults Knitting group meet each Friday @ Tacú from 2pm- 4pm. Beginners welcome! Back and ready for action.

Low Cost Counselling & Psychotherapy- is available in Tacú Family Resource Centre. We all have stresses & crises in our lives that can be alleviated through talking with a trained counsellor.

AWARE - EVERY Thursday nights @ 8pm in Tacú. Aware Support Groups offer a unique opportunity to talk openly about depression and its impact. And don't worry - confidentiality is a central aspect of the group.

MAPLE HALL YOUTH CENTRE (Bowgate St) - Information (094 9521645) (0872859973)

Teen Drop-in (open to secondary school students for all local schools) Drop-in for teenagers: Wednesday 4-6pm, Thursday 4-5pm (internet Café only), Friday 4-6.30pm and Sat 2-4pm Foroige (Friday) - 7.30pm - 8.30pm and 8.30pm - 9.30pm.

Parent and Toddler group meet every Tues from 10.30am - 12.30pm. New mums and dads with their children are always welcome. Why not come along have a cup of coffee and relax with your children. €3.00 per child. For further information contact:

Christmas Teen events: Wake-a-ton will take place on Friday 7th Dec from 9pm - Sat 8th 9am for members. Members will have sponsor cards and have a target of €20 to raise which will go towards the on-going running costs of the centre. If you are a Young person and would like to become a member drop in during a drop in opening hrs. and sign up for €2 per week if you are a parent and interested give us a call on the numbers above.

Youth Worker; We are delighted to welcome on Board Kevin Rowley who is on an Internship Programme Kevin will be available in the Maple Youth Centre so drop in and say hello.
Tacú Family Resource will be closed to the Public from Friday 21st December 2012 and will reopen on Monday 7th January 2013.
