The Western Care Valentine Candlelight Ball was recently launched in Breaffy House Hotel by Noreen Heston, Mayor of Castlebar. In attendance were Caroline Gordon Chairperson, committee members of the 2014 Valentine Candlelight Ball and supporters of this very significant annual fundraising event.
Noreen Heston, Mayor of Castlebar, said she was delighted to be asked to formally launch the Valentine Candlelight Ball and she spoke of the long established support Western Care has in Castlebar and throughout Mayo. She emphasised the need, where possible, for everyone to lend support to this significant fundraising event and to the Western Care organisation, who support over 1,000 people in Mayo with learning and associated disabilities.
Caroline Gordon Chairperson, thanked everyone for attending the official launch. She also thanked everyone involved in organising the Valentine Candlelight Ball and in particular the sponsors who year after year continue to support by way of donation, gifts and with their attendance on the night of the Valentine Candlelight Ball. Without such support, such a significant event would not happen.
Caroline was delighted to announce the guest speaker....GAA legend, Pat Spillane and that also in attendance on the night will be Enda Gilvarry, Mayo Minors Team Manager, some of the All-Ireland winning minor players and the Markham Cup.
The Valentine Candlelight Ball which takes place on Saturday 15th February 2014 in Breaffy House Hotel is a solid fixture in the Castlebar social calendar. Now in its fourteenth year, it is a fantastic night's entertainment. The evening starts with a Champagne Reception followed by a five course Gala Dinner with wine. There is a Raffle, Auction and Mystery Gamble with fantastic prizes, dancing the night away to "Jive Buddies" and much much more.
Tickets are €50 each with a 10% discount for table bookings of ten people or more and dress code is Black Tie.
