AT
INNOVATION IN BUSINESS CENTRE (IiBC) GMIT CASTLEBAR
The Galway Mayo Institute of Technology is now recruiting for the next Midlands & West Enterprise Programme (MWEP) commencing in March 2008. This is a one-year programme providing entrepreneurs with business skills, networks, facilities and supports necessary to navigate the business start-up process.
An Information Evening will be held in the Innovation in Business Centre (IiBC) at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) Castlebar on Thursday 10th January 2008, from 6.30pm – 8.30pm. This enterprise programme is developed for individuals with an innovative business idea who are interested in starting their own business.
Springwell Software Technologies is an example of one of the companies that is located in IiBC and which participated on the MWEP in 2007. Springwell Software is an early-stage start-up company developing innovative software solutions designed to help with management and control of electronic documentation.
Tom McHale from Springwell Software became aware of the IiBC via local media and the internet and the company is now located in the centre.
‘The IiBC provides a professional, modern environment for early-stage entrepreneurs and businesses. In addition to business accommodation, there are opportunities to engage with other businesses at the same or similar stages of development. Most importantly, the management at the centre provides excellent support and advice.'
The Innovation in Business Centre is located on the grounds of the GMIT Campus Castlebar, Westport Road, Castlebar.
