Concept Desk Space is a dedicated area where budding entrepreneurs who are in the initial concept stage can develop ideas, undertake feasibility studies, and carry out market research on the commercial viability of their ideas.
Incubation Space is a full office space with longer time requirements that allows companies access to all the facilities of the center such as a comprehensive business support programme comprising advice, seminars, consultancy, workshops and individual training
All clients have access to broadband, boardroom facilities, GMIT resources and most importantly, the entrepreneurial atmosphere of the center, IiBC facilities and business development supports and expertise within the GMIT.
The IiBC is located in a standalone building just behind the GMIT Castlebar. The building is bright, airy and open spaces that encourage the formal and informal interactions necessary for the development of a community of entrepreneurs.

Maria Staunton, Manager of the IiBC at GMIT Castlebar, says: " Its very important to encourage, assist and support new start-ups here in Ireland particularly high growth start-ups. Typically, high growth start-ups are companies that make a significant contribution to economic growth, employment and technological change. Indigenous industries are very important to regions. The more that start-up the greater the number that are likely to grow into innovative enterprises generating sustainable local employment for a region.
The IiBC are looking for individuals with ideas in innovative technology areas that are likely to achieve significant growth within three years and are usually export-oriented.
