A large group of adults and young people enjoyed the sunshine and scenery as they participated in a loop walk in Straide on Sunday 20 June last. This stunning walk took in the Moy River Bank, as well as bog, lake and forest routes in the beautiful Straide area. Following the walk, refreshments were provided compliments of O'Hara's Bakery, Foxford and The CopperBeech in Straide. A great day was had by all and definitely whetted people's appetites for more!

Following the success of this walk, the Straide Loop Walk Group will be organising walks on a monthly basis so keep an eye out - they really are not to be missed! The Committee are working diligently to develop marked trails and loop walks in the area so that people can experience the beautiful walks, heritage and scenery in the Straide area for themselves. For further information contact Thérese Ruane at 086 3483414.
