Some Castlebar eircom customers have had Internet access difficulties in the early part of March following the recent change in the eircom dial-up number. This appeared to be due to a technical problem within eircom and has now been fixed. Some unusual effects were experienced when using the new dial-up number for this area. Dialling other eircom exchanges gave perfect Internet access indicating that the problem was occurring only on some lines and particularly affecting people dialling from Castlebar.
