Interested in growing your own vegetables in Castlebar?

GIY (Grow It Yourself) Ireland has a network of over 80 local groups around the country, including three here in county Mayo. People come together to meet and share their skills and experiences and to encourage and assist more people to grow their own food.

GIY groups are a great way to learn about growing vegetables, herbs, fruit, keeping hens and so on, drawing on the knowledge and support of your own community. Now GIY is coming to Castlebar. We are aiming to have the first meeting of GIY Castlebar in November. To get involved, please contact giymayo@gmail.com or phone Mícheál on 086 1205904."
