Sunday 2 May 2010 @ 12 pm will see the start of the first Mayo Women's Mini-Marathon in Castlebar. Almost 3000 women have entered the race. The mini-marathon covers 10km in Castlebar so it should be a great spectacle indeed. Remember to support your friends, neighbours, colleagues who are participating - see below for the list of charities that are being supported by the runners this year. Support them by getting out and cheering and of course financial contributions are important for a lot of these charities in these current straitened financial times when many of the normal supports are cut back or have disappeared altogether.
