Eamon enters the Guinness Book of Records

World Record History made in Mayo

A unique piece of world record history was made in Mayo, when Eamon Keane, a local Primary School Teacher, became the first man ever to to complete the Guinness World Record Superhuman Strength Challenge (""The Big 5"")

The 5 Records are:


1. 1 Hour Bench Press
2. 1 Hour Barbell Squat
3. 1 Hour Deadlift
4. 1 Hour Military Press
5. 1 Hour Incline BumBell Flyes.

The final record of the five was successfully completed in Lough Lannagh Fitnes Centre, Castelbar, Co. Mayo, Ireland,


When Eamon set a new world record for Incline DumbBell Flyes, Lifting 27,890 KG's in the time limit of 1 Hour.

This made the set complete, Eamon having finished his mammoth task in his Home County.

These records are included on Page 86 and 87 of The 2010 Book of Guinness World Records.
