My fathers family originated in Castlebar. There were 5 brothers that I am aware of. Frank (my father), John, Tom David and I think Jim. Dave and Jim (?) went to America and Frank and the others came to Lancashire around 1920 or so. I understand we still have (had) relatives in Castlebar. Would be pleased to hear from anyone who feels they may be related or anybody who is intersted.

Anthony Walsh, Bridget(it) Tunney, Anthony worked on railroad and died in 1888. Bridgit came to the USA after his death with her 4 children and died in 1904. These were my Mums grandparents. My Mum lived to the ripe old age of 91 and spoke fondly of her Grandma. My Mom was Veronica Ellen Kelly Smith Marshall. I would love to be able to get any info I could of Bridget Tunney or Anthony Walsh as I promised my Mom that I would pass on what I could. My Granny was Julia Veronica Kelly, so, there is a lot of Irish in me and the more I know, the better.
My Mums Granny, Bridgit spoke fondly of the wee people to my Mom when she was little and of course, my Mom passed this on to me and I to my Grandchildren.
I have found my Great Grandma's resting place but would like to pass on anything else I can find. Thank you and God Bless.

I was born in Moscow in 1970 and now live in the UK, I am trying to find where my grandfather might have come from, my grandmother was Claudia and my grandfather's father was Paul. My granddad was Adrian. They are all on my dad's side. We are unaware of Irish roots as this part of the family are from Kursk region in Russia, visiting Donegal I saw a photo in the local paper of a man who looked exactly like my uncle. Somehow I rule out a coincedence.
Where do I start looking? Does anyone know about Paul, Adrian and Claudia Egans who may have gone to Russia in 1920s? My father's name is Igor, a bit Russian, my uncle is Gena, a bit Russian too, my aunty - Evelyn? This has been in the family for years, none ever added it up before me - it now is facing me as a vivid Irish connection..We had red hair somewhere along the line...
