Further to public demand following their recent production in November, Parke Drama Group repeats its production of Thy Will Be Done by Michael Carey for one night December 17th in the Linenhall, Castlebar. Directed by Bríd Quinn with Vincent McHale as Assistant Director, Thy Will Be Done is based on circumstances that have frequently occurred, the story of two brothers living close by who have not spoken to each other for more than 40 years! In the background there is a failed marriage for one brother and for the other, a wife who left him for New York just before their son was born, never to return. Years later their son returns from America to help work with the family's west of Ireland farm. But slowly this son's difficulty dealing with his Father and Uncles hatred of each other reveals many home truths he must face up to. But its not all about the men, as a local woman although a bit of a busy body has a lot of character and the best interests of those she keeps house for at heart. Although the truth can be painful "Thy Will Be Done" provides many comedic moments & typically of Michael Carey his script delivers much humour.  With the experienced cast of Mary Mahon as Bridie, Seamus Beirne as Martin, John Daly as Jack & Michael Maguire as Peteen, as well as previous sell out productions, advanced booking is advised through 094 9023733 or through www.thelinenhall.com tickets: €10.00 with doors open at 7.30 for curtain at 8:00.
